A detailed portrayal of rhino poaching, tracing the journey from the moment of slaughter to the point of sale. In some countries rhino horn powder is believed to possess curative properties for various ailments, including cancer. I dedicated four months to meticulously tending to every aspect of the image to convey the gravity of the disturbing narratives surrounding this trade. Illustration and retouching by Salamanca.
